“Words cannot even describe the experience we had working with Tony.
He essentially became the most important part of our wedding day with every guest coming up to us asking who our amazing photographer was. And that was before they even saw the pictures! Tony went above and beyond and the attention to detail was incredible. For starters, being based in NY I wasn’t planning to have an engagement shoot since Tony is in CA, but during my booking process he suggested taking time out of his personal vacation to NYC with his (lovely) wife to shoot our photos in brooklyn. From then on out I knew I found a rare gem. Fast forward to the day of the wedding - he got to the venue, then had an amazing idea for a photo, which led to him driving back out to the closest McDonald’s to surprise my husband. Who does that?! I should also mention that after I told him I loved when photographers shoot on film, he showed up with an insane film camera and Polaroid. They’re epic. His photos belong in a magazine. They’re truly so unique. Genuinely the nicest person I have ever met in my life. That is not an exaggeration he is actually that nice and he made my entire wedding experience the most magical thing of our entire lives. So lucky to have found him!!!”
”Not a clue where to start. I guess I'll just start with two words: Artistic Genius.
But even that isn't enough and doesn't come close to describing how insanely talented, patient and humbled Tony Wodarck truly is.
My husband and I, had the immense pleasure of booking Tony as our photographer for our engagement and wedding photos.
Our engagement session was something out of a English country side movie. We rescheduled due to weather and thank goodness we did. The weather was perfect the day we shot and everything seemed to fall in place. Tony made us feel right at home; almost as if we were old friends reuniting after not seeing for awhile. Being in front of a camera can be very daunting to most but Tony made it so flawless and easy.
(In the middle of shooting he spoke to a local mountain biker who had a drone and asked if the biker could take video of my husband and I while we walked the hills. Tony then took the video the biker shot and edited it into the sweetest short video. He doesn't own a drone and I'm not sure if he plans on getting one in the future but this is just a testament to how talented Tony is.)
Our engagement pictures turned out so perfect! They were warm and soft and really captured us as a couple. They really reflected our relationship. Not many photographers can break that barrier and get true authentic images in such an intimate way with such little time having known a couple. Having worked in the wedding industry, I see engagement and wedding pictures all day and many can seem cheesy, forced and fake; Tony's images never came close to this.
On the day of our wedding Tony brought a calm that was definitely needed on a day filled with chaos and lots of emotions. So many of my family, friends and wedding vendors commented on how great it was not only working with Tony but just meeting him. The "lads" and English groomsmen in our wedding party were mesmerized by not only Tony's cool California style but his humble and patient nature. He adapted well with any environment he was in on the day of the wedding. (Side note to Tony: I'm sorry for my giant dysfunctional family and how they can't follow simple directions but you worked with them with such peace and calm, it really was a miracle!)
I never had to worry about anything with Tony. Some photographers can be intrusive and obstructing on a very intimate and special day but Tony was always there quietly capturing pictures, clicking away. Looking at my wedding pictures now I think to myself 'How did he get that shot!? I didn't even see him there.'
Once we received our pictures we were blown away! They were everything we wanted and more. Tony captured everyone in a true and sincere way. Just looking at the pictures brings us right back to the plaza were we said our vows and makes us feel as if you're reliving the whole day once again.
Tony was quick with emails, never hesitated to answer any questions we had and was always on time. I really don't know how he manages a full time job and wedding photography with all the extras like family and friends, surfing and all the other rad things he's got going BUT he does and makes it all look so easy!
If I could give one piece of advice to any couples contemplating hiring Tony as their wedding photographer I'd first say "I have no clue why you're waiting or contemplating; this is the best vendor you will ever book! Sign on the dotted line as soon as humanly possible before he's booked!"

Here’s why?! Being a Wedding Planner I’ve worked with many photographers that are extremely talented and amazing but Tony stood out for me because he’s not only both of those, he’s extremely passionate about his craft, growth and his couples! For this reason, his photos speak to you...they make you feel the moment, emotion... just everything you would want out of a photo. I’m a behind the scenes kind of gal, being in the spotlight or in front of the camera is a struggle for me. Tony understood that about me and used tools to make me feel comfortable to the point I seriously forgot he was there.
